“How Good Are Hankook Tires?” is the question that this article will address. It has been a while since I posted an article on the blog, but I have still been keeping up with user’s comments and questions. Now that Hankook Tires are getting more well-known and people are beginning to not only recognize them, but also seek them out as a good option for their next tire replacement, it only seems appropriate to answer the question: How Good Are Hankook Tires?

As with my other article that addressed the question Are Hankook Tires Any Good?, my main goal is to consolidate different feedback and perspectives from people that have had experience with Hankook Tires Products. I try to collect people’s real-life experience from both the internet, and from real life feedback that I have obtained in my time around the automotive and parts industries. This is an industry that intimidates a lot of people, because it deals with arenas that most of us are unfamiliar with and simply are at the mercy of so-called “experts” and clever advertising gurus. My hope is that in posted an article like this that aims to answer How Good Are Hankook Tires, that you can make your next tire purchase armed with more knowledge and understanding.

For starters, it is important to know more about just which tire your car will need. True, if you go to a tire shop and give them the year, make, and model of the vehicle, they will most likely be able to find the best tire for you. However, if you are specifically seeking one brand of tire, like Hankook for the sake of this example, you may not always receive that recommendation from the tire shop. The truth is, that shop makes more profit off one line of tire versus another. Furthermore, many tire shops (especially the larger ones) now carry their own line of tires, so they will naturally push those over any of their competitors. I make this point not in reference to what tires are better and I am certainly not saying that these tire shops are not to be trusted. Quite the contrary, I am simply emphasizing the importance of arming one’s self with the knowledge and understanding of a product, like tires, before going into a retail buying situation.

The truth is, tires are not as complex as they seem, despite the fact that they are so important because we literally have so much riding on them that depends on their safety and reliability. That goes without saying, right? Going one step forward though, which I aim to do in this article, we must look at which tires will not only be the best for our particular vehicle that we drive, but also that will give us the best deal for our money… which we all know is increasingly important in today’s financial climate!

So, what I would recommend is to get yourself really well acquainted with the different lines of tires that are available, especially as pertain to your vehicle specifically. From there, hop on over to my previous article that addressed How Good Are Hankook Tires? where you will hopefully obtain what you need to not only make the smartest tire decision, but save yourself the most money that you can use on something else.

For those readers here that live in areas that face any sort of snow and ice winter season, it is important to not only understand the various snow and winter tires on the market, but to also know how much of a difference they make in those types of climates.

Even if you live in a region of the world that gets snow and ice for a few months out of the year, as I do in the mid-Western United States, you might consider whether investing in a good set of Winter Tires is a wise move. It is true that it is not necessary (nor advisable) to roll around in them year-round, if the weather conditions in your area do not require it – however, for those times that the road conditions are particularly hazardous, winter tires could save you a great deal of headache, time, money, and maybe even your life.

That being said, this article will focus on the Hankook Winter iPike W409 Reviews. With winter fast approaching, more and more people are interested in reading winter tire reviews. Furthermore, Hankook has made quite a name for itself over the recent years, and the company is now being considered as a front-runner in the tire industy — not only for winter tires.

On with the review:

As is the case with previous articles on this blog, much emphasis is put on keeping them from sounding bias – either overly favorable or unfavorable. In this article, however, when discussing the Hankook iPike W409 Reviews, it will be difficult to not sound as though there is some bias! The fact of the matter is, these tires are simply brilliant and, as one reviewer put it, “they feel as though you are glued to the road!”

Most of the first account Hankook iPike W409 Reviews came from drivers that had not had previous experience with Winter Tires, so there were really no expectations. That really is, in my opinion, the best type of review to consider, as the opinion therein is completely raw and unadulterated. Because of that, many of the experiences (including my own), lead to the drivers not only being very pleased with the Hankook iPike W409, but also being very surprised at how extensive the difference was between a winter tire, and a standard tire. This is particularly surprising, since the average driver does not bother with the thought of changing their tires during winter weather, much less know of the difference.

The only semi-negative to consider with the iPike W409 is that they are not generally favorable for a larger vehicle – say a truck or SUV. I personally would recommend them for economy cars, sedans, and maybe a full-size. They do have somewhat lower clearance than other winter tires, but that is only because Hankook has designed other tires to meet the needs of different vehicles, which the iPike W409 may not suit. I will discuss those in future articles, so stay tuned!

“Are Hankook Tires Any Good?” For this article, I am going to answer this question, but I am going to do something a bit different. Instead of writing my own review, with the information I have obtained through my own experience in the automotive industry and dealing with tire shops around the country, I am going to scour the internet, and post some reviews here. In doing that, I hope to save you some time (and eventually money) in looking all around to get the information you are searching for.

One reviewer on a Nissan Maxima forum online answered the question Are Hankook Tires Any Good? by stating that ‘… the RS2 is a great autocross and summer tire’, which was common to see for Hankook in past years, as Hankook was most known for building an early reputation in moto-cross. This brings up a good point though, as it shows that Hankook has done a fairly decent job at building quality products beyond just motocross.

Another reviewer on the same forum had Hankooks on some 20″ wheels with a Nissan Armada. This reviewer said they were “decent tires”, but not to expect the best of them. The reviewer mentioned that the tires appeared to have an issue staying balanced, which inevitably lead to them wearing and not lasting beyond 30k miles.

One reviewer with a Nissan Altima answered the question Are Hankook Tires Any Good? with a ‘yes’, stating that the Kumho Ecsta ASX might be a better option, especially if you are desiring an all-season tire. One interesting thing about this individuals review was that he had an issue with one of the tires, and the warranty allowed the tire to be replaced without any problems.

Several people reported that Hankook Tires are pretty good, especially for the relatively inexpensive price that they offer. True, there are lot of “discount” tires that you can get at places like Wal-Mart and other tire stores, however, they do not necessarily have great quality. Hankook, on the other hand, has some tires that are perfect for someone who is on a tight budget, and set themselves apart from other discount tires, because it has a better reputation.

One thing I noticed with the various reviews I read, which was a huge positive is that the reviews came from people that are driving all types of different vehicles. This is pretty neat, as a lot of tire makers excel with one or two types of vehicles, and that is all. When you can find a tire maker that does well with various vehicles and vehicle types, that not only builds confidence in buying, but makes the process of buying an easier one, whereby the consumer can rest assured that there is not as much room for error.

So, to answer the main question of this article, “Are Hankook Tires Any Good?”, it would appear that according to people’s reviews that the answer is Yes!

So far, I have discussed Hankook Truck Tires Review, and would to keep with that theme and write a Hankook SUV Tires Review. As is often the case, SUVs and small trucks generally benefit from having similar tires, but there are some variations, depending on drivetrain, weight, and other important factors related to the truck or SUV. These are factors that your average tire shopper may not be aware of… so that is why I will not only discuss Hankook SUV Tires Review in detail, but also give some information on the differences that exist.

For starters, many people that are searching for Hankook SUV Tires Review online become content in simply reading reviews applicable to trucks and vans as well. This is fine and dandy, as long as the reviews are for light trucks and/or vans. This is because many of the larger trucks and vans (mostly for commercial and industrial use) are in fact too large, and the SUV Tires Review cannot be applied to those larger vehicles.

Now that we know that, let me give my Hankook SUV Tires Review based on my experience in the industry, as well as what I have heard from the countless mechanics and tire dealers that I have dealt with in my daily routine.

Hankook SUV Tires Review #1: DynaPro ATM RF10 Tire

This is a really great tire, and my personal favorite for light trucks, SUVs, and most vans. What you really want to look for if you are buying tires for your SUV, truck, or van, is that the tires are an aggressive, all-terrain variety, as the ATM RF10 is. They are not the least expensive in the Hankook SUV Tire line-up, but you most certainly get the most bang for your buck, in my opinion.

Hankook SUV Tires Review #2: DynaPro AS RH03 Tire

If the price tag on #1 scared you a bit, rest assured with #2 here. The AS RH03 is a less-expensive option for the SUV, light truck, or van driver looking for a solid set of tires. They have been designed to match OEM standards, featuring a all-season ribbed design, which makes it look cool and handle a variety of seasonal conditions.

Hankook SUV Tires Review #3: DynaPro MT RT03 Tire

This is a truck and SUV tire for the truest of off-road drivers, sporting a ‘V’ shaped thread pattern that allows for superb grip in mud and/or sand. This tire is not for your average truck and SUV driver, and is indeed on the pricey end; however, it is one of the best options available for those of us that spend as much time off of the road as we do on it. I’ll do my best to constantly search deals online and post them back on this article for those of you who want them, but cannot afford the rather hefty price tag.

Hopefully the Hankook SUV Tires Review I have written here has provided some helpful information to you. I have only provided three reviews, because I do not feel it is necessary to over-complicate things, and I have chosen three great options, which can satisfy most any need!
